The newly elected American President, Donald Trump, refused the yearly presidential salary of $400.000.

During a campaign appearance in Rochester, New Hampshire on September 17th, Trump announced that if he is to be elected, he will turn down the presidential salary.

“The first thing I’m going to do is tell you that if I’m elected president, I’m accepting no salary, ok?” Trump said. “That’s not a big deal for me.” When he was asked the same question on twitter, he confirmed his decision.

“As far as the salary is concerned — I won’t take even $1,” said Trump. “I am totally giving up my salary if I become president.”

He noted that he will accept some minor stuff that every president has a right to have according to the American Law.

A U.S. president has the right on a $400.000 annual salary.

Besides that, the president has the right to cover additional costs worth of $50.000 dollars.
